Art as a Superpower in the Age of AI - A Workshop
2025年10月10日
Are you a teacher feeling lost in the AI revolution?
AI is transforming education at an unprecedented pace. But as machines take on tasks like writing, designing, and grading, a critical question arises: What does this mean for art education?
Are we simply striving to keep pace, producing technically skilled graduates?
We believe there's an opportunity to do more.
AI cannot:
Discover a student’s unique voice.
Instill true passion.
Inspire courage in the face of uncertainty.
These human skills are now paramount. As educators, we must focus on developing these capabilities.
We believe the purpose of art education isn’t just to keep up — it’s to dig deeper, enabling students to develop their skills, purpose, and humanity. We aim to build curious, kind, and courageous thinkers prepared to handle uncertainty and create meaningful art.
To address these challenges, Young Guns Studio is hosting a Professional Development Day for High School Teachers on October 24:
Creative Clarity Through Design Thinking (Morning): Led by Pete Young, this session explores practical methods for helping students connect ideas across disciplines and transform imagination into action.
AI as Your Teaching Partner (Afternoon): Kris Krüg [Executive Director, BC + AI Ecosystem], multidisciplinary creative technologist, will guide participants in leveraging AI to spark curiosity and amplify creativity in the classroom.
This workshop moves beyond tools to emphasize humanity in the creative process, fostering students' critical thinking skills.
